The 2011 grape harvest is underway with fruit already being picked in Auckland, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay and Marlborough. All the best to all grape growers and wineries for a fruit full harvest.
Presently the demand for New Zealand wine is reasonably strong however the market still needs to align itself between ‘sellers wish price’ and ‘buyers requirement.’ This may take a little time so our recommendation is to hedge your bet and look at all opportunities as they arise. You don’t have to sell all your wine now. Consider moving a percentage to generate cash flow and stimulate early sales.
WANTED:
- 2010 Bulk Pinot Noir. We have an established overseas customer looking for a mid to upper tier style Pinot Noir exhibiting ripe fruity and floral characters. Preference for region is Martinborough, Central Otago or Marlborough. Quantity required may vary but looking at 3,000–9,000 litre parcels. Price to be discussed on individual parcels however price would reflect quality. Opportunity for on-going business. Wines to be shipped in 1,000 litre Chep Unicons overseas. Wine is for export therefore must be finished. Samples for evaluation required and successful wine would be uplifted promptly.
- 2010 Bulk Hawke’s Bay Syrah. 5-10,000 litre parcels. Wine could be cloudy or finished state. Present all offerings.
- 2010 clean skin Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Domestic company looking for 300-500 dozen. Preference is for lite weight Burgundy bottle with plain black screw-cap. Wines to be available in plain cartons. Price point is under NZ$50/carton excluding excise and GST.
- 2010 clean skin Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Overseas company looking for on-going supply for own label wine business. Preference is for lite weight flint Bordeaux bottle with plain black screw cap. Wine to be packed in 6 x 750ml pack with packaging to be discussed. Front and back label to be discussed (already existing). Yearly quantity estimated at 15 x containers. Price point required is NZ$25/FOB per 6 pack. WET available.
- 2011 Bulk Hawke’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc. Multiples of 24KL parcels. Finished wine (i.e. hot + cold stable filtered <1 NTU) @ ~$2.50/litre
- 2011 Bulk Nelson Sauvignon Blanc. Multiples of 24KL parcels. Finished wine (i.e. hot + cold stable filtered <1 NTU) @ ~$2.50/litre
- 2011 Bulk Waipara Sauvignon Blanc. Multiples of 24KL parcels. Finished wine (i.e. hot + cold stable filtered <1 NTU) @ ~$2.40/litre

• Code 2920. 2010 Bulk Wairarapa Sauvignon Blanc: 100%. RS 6.0 g/L. Currently twice racked and sulphured. 70,000 litres @ $3.20/litre

- Vaslin Press 3.2 HL. Vaslin wine press 3.2 HL. Will take approx 2 tonne whole bunch whites or 5 tonne destemmed /drained fruit. Main electrical loam replaced when we purchased in 2004. Height 2.25m Width 1.6m length 4.9m. Weight approx 2.5-3 tonne. We have brought a larger press due to expansion. Sold in working order but as is condition.
